Despite the ghetto motel accommodations, I still get a feeling of wellbeing when I drive into LA. It's the weather and abundance of space. I miss LA's size and freedom. I felt I could get in my car and drive to nearby cities. Not so in SF. To go anywhere you have to fly, which gets expensive. Makes me feel like there is no perfect place. Would I really move back to LA? Above all, that would make me look silly. My supervisor De is so weird. Today she asked if I want to transfer to India for 1-2 years. It's amazing how she treats me like a commodity to be disposed of and traded. I said no thanks.
